What a disappointing lunch at Deje Vu today, Sunday, 18 September 2016!
The food was average but the attitude to customer satisfaction was appalling!!!!!
I ordered calamari. When it arrived with the smallest container of aeoli I had ever seen, I asked, as I always do, for another container of aeoli. I have a medical condition which makes swallowing and digesting 'dry' food, very difficult. I explained this to the waitress and then to the manageress, but the latter had no empathy whatsoever. Deja Vu Cafe is your basic usual average cafe which makes decent coffee and serves cakes, a reasonable breakfast menu and has the indoor and outdoor seating along the main strip on the Esplanade of Mooloolaba. I'm not a big breakfast eater but popped in to get my morning hot choc and my husband his morning latte. We grabbed it for on the go. It wasn't busy so we were in and out within 15mins. Staff were friendly always smiling and were happy to be serving us. The staff told us to grab a seat while we wait and they will bring it out to us. When it came out it was absolutely hot to drink which is good as it meant i could take my time to enjoy my morning cuppa. My husband wanted to come back later during the day to grab their cheesecake and i wanted one of their muffins which looked freshly baked but we did't get the opportunity to come back 2nd time which is a shame. If ever having the opportunity to come back to Mooloolaba then we will sure to drop in to actually dine.
