I love this place. Been going here for four years but since the mother and daughter started owning the shop it has been getting better. They have great value for food and the crunchiest chips. Everything is cooked to perfection.
Bloggergal, I am not " claiming " anything, I am stating fact and we got exactly what I described on both occasions, so my review is an honest and genuine review. And yes, it is Delgado's I have reviewed, I shop at that little shopping area at least 3 times a week, so I know what I am reviewing. Lucky that you have been served well cooked and edible food. However the mother and daughter rushed my order through, it was not busy and there was only one other elderly customer who was waiting for her order and her chips ( that's all she ordered ) were also not cooked properly.
Even though you have had good experiences and " it has been getting better " as you stated, please do ever assume that all will have the same experience.
I have given this place 2 chances ... no more. On both visits I have received undercooked prawns, to the point of being raw in places and calamari that was overcooked to the point of being inedible, chips were the frozen variety and not cooked through. Not good enough and to be honest, undercooked prawns are a big no no and can have bad consequences. Mother and daughter need to get their act together and learn to cook.
Hi, would just like to ask if this is the correct seafood place you've been to? My husband and I always get the fish and chip pack with prawn cutlets and a cod and we never experience what you're claiming
