Ordered takeaway from this restaurant and after paying $27, I was left pretty disappointed. The honey chicken tasted like it had been microwaved or refried. The honey sauce didn't even taste like it had honey in it and it was cold and the prawn toast was over fried so it was just hard and gross. I won't ever be going here again and I'd urge others not to either.
For 20+ years the best Chinese in Melton. Again tonight they delivered the goods. If you dine in you have missed the point, its all about their takeaway.
I've moved recently to Melton and have now dined in once and had takeaway once from this restaurant. Both times the food was overpriced and tasted like it had been reheated. I would rather eat dog food than order from this restaurant even again.
When I dined there recently, our food was amazing, the service was quick, the restaurant was pleasant and peaceful to sit in, and the waitress was lovely and polite. Halfway through the meal, my dining companions were already planning the next time they would be going there to eat (it sounded like they were almost ready to make up special occasions to dine out for!). One of the few places in Melton that offers decent vegetarian food with more than one vegetarian option, too. We walked up High Street looking for a place that was open at lunchtime and served more than just a plate of veggies for vegetarians, and were very thankful we found this place, after rejecting a number of others. My only qualm is that the vegetarian spring rolls in the entree menu are tiny. But that was probably for the best, so we didn't fill up before the following two courses, which were really good. I mean, they made broccoli taste amazing! How's that for a litmus test?
