NEVER BUY FROM DELL AUSTRALIA - I'm assuming, Ive been scamed - Dell Australia or their idiot carrier - TEAM GLOBAL EXPRESS are not responding to emailS, calls and then they have chatbot...BUT NO ONE WILL RESPOND.
They have happily taken my money but will not answer for the purchased monitor...
I did finally get through to Dell by inducating I was purchasing a new product not "purchased". The response sounded as if they were listening but after some time now - their call center in india was just that - another call center in india and nothing came of it...
I have now lodged a complaint with the NSW Ombudsman and will follow up with NSW Fair trading but will never use Dell Australia for anything in future.
My experience with Dell is the worst since I started purchasing from the internet. After choosing a laptop from Dell Australia's site and paying for it with my credit card I was first informed that my choice of product was out of stock and an inferior product would be sent at the same price. After making a phone call to an Indian call centre ( as I am unable to contact Dell's office in Frenches Forrest Australia, even after looking their number up in the Australian White Pages and ringing an Australian phone number) I was told a suitable replacement would be sent. Within the next day I received from Dell an email asking for my address to be verified with a photo of my drivers licence and utillity ...read more
On 3 August 2015, I bought Alienware 15 from one of our local JB HI-FI dealers based in Glendale NSW as it was recommended by their sales team member. Since then I had nothing but trouble with the machine. The laptop had the motherboard replaced twice under warranty; it constantly has a long beep every few minutes or hours so something else was wrong with it since day one. The repair person was told about it both times while it was under warranty but hasn’t done anything about it, and finally, just over two years since I bought the laptop, the battery died and then I was told by Dell support they refuse to fix the reported problem.
Today I woke up to find that my Dell laptop has become an expensive brick. It just doesn't want to boot even with the power AC power adopter plugged in. It's just dead. I really hate Dell Australia and their lemon product I bought.
I purchased a computer from a seller on an online store in early Feb, 2014. The online strore dd stated the computer still had a valid factory warranty, I met the seller in Carlton, Victoria a few days after contacting him, we seated ourselves at a cafe so I could investigate the condition and status of the computer before purchasing, the computer was in extremely good condition, I ran some tests and the computer passed them all, I also rang Dell Australia to confirm the warranty status and was informed the warranty was current, the seller also provided me with a copy of his original purchase receipt that stated the computer had a 12 month warranty from date of purchase. I purchased the item from the seller and transferred the ownership of the item into my name as per Dell's policy. A few weeks later I had a problem, it was the video card I think, I call Dell and they sent out a tech the next ...read more
I have never used a Dell and after what can only be described as a horrific experience, I will never again. They pushed back the estimated delivery time from early Nov to post Christmas Dec. They changed my order without consultation and then when I finally had enough of ingenuous customer service and their meaningless pleasantries I cancelled. Three weeks later I am still chasing the refund and not once have they returned a call. This is Dell Australia and I cannot think of a worse experience trying to do business with a company in my lifetime. Please never ever buy from them. If I can just save one person this review will have been worth it.
