I've read the review of the person below and thought I should provide a countervailing experience for comparison's sake. I first came across Deniz when I was having a truly terrible day last year. While rushing from one meeting to another I fell and ripped my dress and my knee. I hobbled over to a nearby building because my colleague said there was a tailor in the basement. It was Deniz.
The place is old school, no website or anything and she only takes cash. She fixed up my dress right there and then, gave me a chair and a room to wait in, wipes for my leg and was generally just incredibly kind. I didn't have cash on me and asked to go to the ATM. Please don't be fooled by the hospitality of the woman who is the owner and also is the one that provides you services including alteration, laundry, etc. I had my 2 dresses altered, one is okay, the other one is another story. So long story short, the woman there whose name is Deniz, was supposed to shorten my dress and resize it which she did ok, but somehow she changed the design of my dress and replaced the zip without my consent. When I picked up the dresses, she said she did me a favour of replacing the zip to make it nicer, free of charge. I was very happy and appreciated her work. I wore that dress to a Xmas party on the same day, in the evening. In the middle of the party, zip was broken. I came back, she said "no garantee for the zip, zip doesn't last forever" charged me 45$ for another zip. I refused to pay, she said "ok, it's my fault for changing the zip without asking you, I'll do it free of charge" next morning, came back to pick up the dress,she gave my ...read more
