Denn Bar Restaurant

Went for a pizza and wine with a scoop on deal. The pizza was supposed to be wood fired but the crust came out all soggy and the topping was cold. Complained do they reheated which made it even more soggy. My husband and u thought you could never go wrong with pizza but this has proved us wrong absolutely disgusting. Would never go back

One Saturday morning I decided to head down to Westgarth to look for a place to have a spot of breakfast and the first place I encountered was this place, so I decided to give it a shot. Well, I have to say that it wasn't bad, and the coffee was okay (but not the best). What I did like was the options that they had for breakfast. Okay, they had the standard offerings, but also some Greek meatballs, so I decided to try that. I have to say that I was pretty impressed. Okay it isn't the cheapest of places to grab some breakfast, but it does have a reasonable (albeit classy) atmosphere about it. The staff was okay, and the food did come out pretty promptly. I didn't mind the place, but would probably like to check out other places in and around the area.

So overpriced for bad small portioned food. what is stated in the menu is not what you get. Staff do not care. Forgot ordered items.

If you're waiting for a movie - eat elsewhere. Food was OK. I had the meatballs and my wife had the lamb salad. Big problem is the kitchen and wait staff. My drinks order got forgotten and my wife was half way through her diinner before mine came out. Disappointed. Over priced, under-serviced and not going back.

This place is over-rated. Used to be great a couple of years ago, but food has gone downhill. Last visit I had a very ordinary pizza with hardly any topping. On paying the bill, I did make mention of this - waitress didn't really acknowledge my dissatisfaction at all. Much better places to eat in Northcote... give this one a miss unless nothing else is open & you're not too fussy!
