I received an email from a job application I applied for this morning advising I had been unsuccessful in getting a position I was overqualified for. I phoned as I was under the impression this company was an agency I could at least register my interest with. I was then told that 8 years ago was far too long ago for job experience (when I have kept my skills current and up to date with my own businesses since becoming a mother) I told her I was horrified that a woman was making me feel guilty for taking time off to have a family and then she literally told me there was something wrong with me because I can't keep a job longer than 1 year! This woman's behaviour is a disgrace and frankly would be horrified to have my clients deal with a human being like this! I will NEVER justify time I've taken off to nourish my children with love not will I be made to feel inferior for my job history!! I would not recommend any employer deal with this company or even a job seeker!!
