Diamond World Jewellers

I never review anything, so I purely signed up just to say my bit. So my boyfriend and his mother picked out a beautiful ring from the Warringah mall shop (I know this is for Hornsby. Hornsby is their main store, like the mother ship type) anyway, they picked out a ring for my 21st birthday. The only unfortunate thing about it, is that is was missing a diamond. So I took it back into the shop, asking them very politely if there is actually a diamond missing. The staff took my ring, looked at it for a while, then said "oh there's a little diamond missing from the side, is that the one you mean?" I said, well no, that means there's two missing. Staff then proceeded to tell me that the diamond I thought wasn't there was actually a discoloured diamond, (didn't realise diamonds can be a brown colour) I persisted, while being very apologetic and making it clear that I am no diamond expert, but I really didn't think there was a diamond there. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! The side diamond of my ring was lost shortly after, they melted the claws on the main diamond and took out a thick section of band (instead of the thin section at the bottom) so it's thin on one side and will eventually have to be replaced also. It's going to cost $700 all up to fix it by someone who knows what they are doing. (They also wanted to charge me $200 for the replacement side diamond that my wholesaler can get for $60).
