Ive returned here recently a few days ago after doing my local grocery in the centre. They generally discount their food slightly by the end of the evening. What I like about this place are the variety of the Vietnamese dishes that are available and the taste is quite authentic. Service here is always prompt, I often get served by the same women who takes the order & payment, who I believe may be the owner. My recent visit I ordered fish, tofu with meatballs on the base and canh chua which is a sweet, tangy broth soup with prawns or fish, I had fish on this occasion. Overall it was quite nice and will likely return again.
Ive dined here only once but have picked up takeaway on so many occasions. They are well known for the Banh Cuon a thin and delicate sheet of steamed seasoned ground pork, minced mushroom, and minced shallots, normally eating with some mix Vietnamese lettuce and a dipping sauce called nc chm. At the end of the day, these Banh Cuon tends to be placed in take away boxes and sold much cheaper to simply get rid of the days food. Generally from $6-8 a box. This restaurant certainly doesn't look the part but it sure tastes it. The food here of course are in competition with any in Footscray with a slightly reduced price tag. Ive found the servings to be quite huge, cheap prices, massive menu and delicious food. Whats great about this restaurant, is that you could do your fruit and veg shopping then stay for dinner.
