Dino came to look at my bus after breaking down in Mackay. He told me my engine needed to be replaced and then rushed away to watch AFL and drink beers.
He said he'd call me within 2 days with a quote (being fully aware the bus is my home and I'm stuck here in it with my dog until I can get it repaire).
6 days have passed and he hasn't replied to calls or texts.
Thanks for wasting my time. I could have gone with another mechanic and made some progress by now.
I notice Google reviews have been turned off too.
I was in a bit of a bind with finding someone to road worthy my vehicle at short notice, dino's had there lot full of vehicles they where working on and still took mine onboard and I was amazed at the turn over as I received my vehicle only a few hours later. Thanks Guys I owe you big time...
Late on a Thursday afternoon I bought a car and wished to book it in for a roadworthy certificate so I could transfer the car into my name and then drive it back to Brisbane on the following Tuesday. After much calling around and rejection to fit my car in at late notice, I called Dino's Mechanical. The team at Dinos Mechanical were very professional and fitted my car in the following day. I am very grateful to the team for fitting my car in at late notice and also fixing the problems that may have hampered my trip back to Brisbane. The owner was a very likeable gentleman and offered to loan me a car or drop me at the shopping centre to fill the time that I spent waiting for my car to be fixed. Dinos was excellent with helping my situation. I would reccomend this mechanic to anyone!!!!!
Im from Brisbane but bought a Toyota 79 series ute from a guy in Mackay. He went to Dino's to get the roadworthy which they passed. When I drove it back to Brisbane and brought it to my mechanic to check over, I was told I could not drive it away.
PROBLEMS: there was that much internal rust in the chassis that the chance of breaking was to great to allow for driving. The right shocker mount had rust hole through it and even though Dinos put new shockers on, they failed to see this. The rear fuel tank brakets were rusted and some fixing point had let go. hi there thx for explaining it more, i have seen some off the out comes of a lot off roadworthys from them and ur not the only one but seller of ur car asked them for a roady to transfer to thier child's name ... the staff passed it thinking he was doing the rite thing and told ur seller that the roady was a bodgy to help them out and not to sell the car to others till repairs had been done in full. if they were to sell he wont be reliable for any out comes. i was there when the roady was done as myself and an aprentice refused to have anything to do with he agreement. sorry to hear u got the raw end off the deal.
