Discount Freight

I sent a suitcase from Australia to Germany in March 2016.When I placed the order I bought an additional insurance plan which included money refund and the tracking of the suitcase. The shipping was supposed to take 3 months. After it was delayed for over a month i tried to contact the firm to get information about the location of my suitcase. From thereon it was a disaster. They didn't return any of my SMS or calls (even though it says it's a 24h service). The online chat just asked me too fill out a form to give them information they should already have. They were supposed to come back to me within 30 days but they never did. Wanted to add just the second truthful review on here about this company as a warning to anyone yet to do a simple google search on Discount Freight and read the horror stories. I shipped some items from Australia to UK at the start of the year at approx $800, 5 months later still not arrived. Contacted Discount Freight- no reply. Contacted the actual shipping company (DF DO NOT SHIP THEMSELVES) who advised DF are not a customer of theirs anymore due to reasons of non payment for shipping. My items included. I had to retrieve my items and send again at my cost. I contacted DF and advised I had proof they have ripped me off and requested a refund which they eventually said they would do but DIDN'T. So for the time being I am out of pocket from the DF shambles plus the cost of actually getting my items shipped. Do not use Discountfreight, ozepost or any of the multitude of aliases they go by. I can tell you that we travel all over the world non stop to visit our grand kids. We have used discount freight several times with great service and then some slow service. Give them 3.5 stars. Why? Even though we always receive our items the communication with them lacks. When we have had questions it takes several days or even week to get back to us. We have never had any problems with our packages being lost and only one time was late by a couple days. We would reccommend them to anyone but definitely use the faster shipping services and buy the insurance and tracking like we do every time.

Left NSW for Alabama USA to visit family this winter. Shiped several items and boxes they all came at separate times but within the time frame permitted. No issues, texts were returned and baggage was fine. took just over 30 days. I read the instructions several times to make sure everything was label exactly correct and weight and sized it at a store to make sure. I purchased shipping insurance which made me feel a lot at ease. Giving a 4 start rating since I received bags each day for about 4 different days.

I received my 3 boxes within the time limit (3-4 months), i called since it was almost 4 months, they told me I would get them but I was trying to get them delivered to another address and they were hard to get a hold of. Final when I did they said they could not because the carrier that delivers is country related out of the custom depot and not their company. Sucks but we got them. Next time I am definitely using tracking to keep an eye on them I had no idea when they would actually be delivered and missed them 2x since someone had to sign for them.
