Had my dog groomed here a few days into September, so Winter had just finished still 5 degrees or less overnight and mid to high teens max during the day, and was absolutely mortified when I picked up my dog that he was shaved to the skin all over including head and ears, not an ounce of hair left on his body, he was unrecognizable. He is normally a happy dog going outside often but has not ventured outside since his cut yesterday as he is constantly shivering, and just stays in his bed where he is warm. I am stopping at a warehouse on the way home to buy him a jumper till his fur grows back. We have been here once before and his body had at least half a centimeter of hair left and the head had barely been touched just cleaned up which is what we were expecting this time, especially considering the time of year.
As was explained to you on dropoff, Spike was extremely matted and would be going extremely short. It has been 6 months since his last grooming, and as was explained, that is just far too long for him to go without a groom and proper brushing! I have photos of him getting his pelt removed, of which you were shown upon pickup, as it came off completely in 1 single piece! As i explained, this is extremely painful for poor Spike, and then proceeded to give you tips on how to maintain him.
I am very upset to see you have put this review up on here, rather than coming to me and telling me yourself, which i would have then showed you the photos of his poor condition. Please feel free to call me to discuss, should you wish to!

It's impossible to do anything else if you overwinter your dog and send it to the groomers horrifically Matted - I think you should review your review. Dani is a great groomer and very kind to the dogs. She would only have to Shave everything off if there were no other option out of humanity to your dog.
Seriously???!!! You let your dog get horribly matted and then you blame the dog groomer because there is no option but to shave it all off, and NOW you are all concerned about how your dog is feeling but for the last few months you couldn't care less that it was in pain.
I will only make one response to this as that is all it is worth with your friends defensive comments and accusing me of abusing my dog which I don't appreciate. My dog gets treated like a king in our house and was NEVER in pain, you say you told my wife short which we would have been happy with but that is not what we got. This is a site to post reviews of your experiences positive or negative and I have posted mine, I don't need to "review my review" as that is what we experienced if you have expereinced different then that is your experience and you should have posted that review before today.
