I don't understand the bad reviews. I got a great service. I had several different quotes from different removal companies and I ended up choosing DLM Removals. As far as the move and customer service. I would rate both 5 out of 5. I have moved a house load of furniture every few years for over 10 years. I would use DLM again and I would even recommend other to do the same. They were by far more affordable then other removal companies and they delivered on what they promised. Everything was delivered on time and none of my property was broken or missing.
Such bad customer service I am speechless. I recommend avoiding them at all costs. I was promised a phone call in the days prior to them delivering my stuff. I got a call one afternoon and the driver said they would be at my house in 15 minutes (no warning) I had to leave work with little notice to facilitate this. Items were damaged in transport and the driver acted as though this was very rare and had never happened before. The next few weeks I sent numerous email to there office of which went un-answered for a few more weeks. The most concerning damage wrecked a very nice wooden item of mine and the staff in the truck showed me were it had hit a jagged edge of the truck were they pulled it out. All in all I would have copped it if I got answers from the office and if they didn't give me some BS about an investigation being on-going for weeks on end. Please Note:
At booking stage you are advised to take out your own insurance. If you book through a Broker or through a transport company who have their own trucks.
The booking paperwork that is sent to you at booking stage also outlines Transit Insurance - i.e. Damage to you nice wooden item.
If you choose not to read and follow the information it is your choice.
All companies investigate any complaint they receive. It does take time.
DO NOT USE!! Do not go near DLM removals! Said they'd be there at 10am. Midday comes and I call, be there at 2:00pm. Again a no show. Be there at 4:00pm. Again a now show, be there at 5:30pm. Again no show be there at 6:30pm. I cancelled them as we have 2 x babies and we now needed to book a hotel as all our furniture was packed up and we needed to get the kids sorted. Flew to Brisbane from Melbourne and then had to fly back 4 days later to meet the removalist again. Showed up 3 hours late on the second attempt. Our stuff was simply put in the back of a truck in a hurry and NOTHING labeled. Told this was my fault. $2500 worth of our stuff lost. Worst yet they removed the screws from $2000 worth of furniture and lost the screws. Specialty screws!! Useless furniture is now the result - just a bunch of sticks.
