In ancient Italy, favours were evident among the wealthy. The bride and groom would present their guests with silk scarves and incense.

Today, favours are still among the most sought after item for weddings. Favours have now been expanded to a symbol of gratitude for most events, such as bridal showers, baby showers, anniversary, birthday and even corporate celebrations.
