I have to agree with pip1989 comments as i also felt it was an inconvenience answering the phone. A my husband and i have been asked to be part of a 'task force' for the Boddington fires as volunteers we urgently need to book our two dogs in to a kennel and your kennels is the perfect spot for them but the only problem we had is we needed to drop them of between 1630-1800 on Saturday because we need to be in Northam by 1830. And was told we can only drop them of at 0830-0930am!!! (We live in Merredin) Fine i realize you have opening/drop of times and have plenty to do, but please be a little nicer/understanding on the phone. As i felt like you had no interest and did not want to know? We have now found another kennel that are happy to accommodate us and happy to help us so we are able to assist with the fires.
I took my dog there last year and when I dropped her off she was crying a bit because she new I was going to leave her there. Staff looked at her then looked at me and said I wouldn't have one of those if you paid me to. I was speechless and thought that staff comment was disgusting to say to someone that was dropping their much loved pet off but I had no choice but to leave her there. When I went to pick her up staff asked me why she (my dog) cowered like she does so I said she doesn't cower ever. Then staff said that my dog only did it with her and was fine with them so that makes me think that staff has frightened her with staff harsh personality so I will never take her there ever again.
Staff consists of my wife and myself so I find it highly dubious that either of us would make such derogative comments for we too are owners of much loved pets as well being owners of a boarding kennel.
We are well known not only throughout the Avon Valley but Australia wide for our high standard of duty of care and are recommended by not only vets but breeders of all breeds.
I would have preferred to have had the opportunity to discuss with you your dissatisfaction with our service but I cannot find a Stormy32 on our accounts nor do I recognize you from your silhouette which is a shame for a concerned owner would've address the issue there and then rather than not only leave their pet but come back later and make such preposterous allegations under the guise of anonymity.
When I rang, the staff who I spoke to was incredibly rude. I have used these kennels before and the gentleman I dealt with was always very nice and professional. I almost told that staff I didn't want to book anymore because they made me feel like answering the phone and taking my booking was a real inconvenience. Having said that, I believe they take care of my Kelpie well and she always comes back happy and healthy.

These kennels are run very professionally and I wouldn't leave my dogs anywhere else. Paula and John take excellent care of them and even helped them drop a kilo as requested when I dropped them off. When I collected them I could see how attached they had become to Paula and that told me a lot about how much love she puts into the pets in her care. I highly recommend Dobenaire Kennels.
