It is an unfortunate situation that when a patient calls up and asks whether this clinic bulk bills, that they are told yes, yet, not specified that they do NOT accept / BULK BILL Health Care Cards as a full concession - meaning that a low income earner needs to pay $40 out of pocket to see a GP ( $70 upfront & low income earners are only afforded a $15 discount). Furthermore, costs are not reiterated at the begining of arrival and registration and therefore the low income patient is left having to face the upfront $70 fee after having the service.
Bad Form.
The Doctors of Northcote practice seems to be more into business generation than provision of healthcare services.
Repeated unecessary appointments are made by these GP's to generate additional appointments which they charge for.
There is excessive waiting times, however they are very quick to charge for excessive fees if you miss an appointment.
The GP's are constantly changing and few stay employed at this practice for very long. There is very little continuity of care. Some GP's have demonstrated very average clinical assessment skills (I am a health professional myself)
Reception staff are robotic and not encouraged to think critically. My complaints fell on deaf ears so I have chosen to make them public
I find them quite expensive (on par with costs of CBD doctors), but can always generally get an apppintment on the day needed. There are many doctors there, it's hard to get a regular doctor to see here if you are a full time worker and can't make it during the days. Sometimes feel like I am rushed through.
Totally rushed through. Its a business, what were we expecting, healthcare or something?
