Doggy Pause
Taking the lead while you're away ....Established in 2009 as a dog daycare facility so I could spend time with my dog each day, we soon evolved from 900sqm with 15 dogs per day for daycare to include overnight boarding for 10 dogs and as demand for the service increased we expanded in 2011 to 27 acres on The Central Coast specializing only in dog boarding for social, healthy and desexed dogs.
We take pride in offering an environment for dogs which is like a dog daycare or dog park so they spend more time playing with one another in groups of around 10 than being caged and walked on a lead foe exercise. This creates a caring for dogs which is more than a roof over their head and food in their bowls. It is physically, mentally and emotionally stimulating and ensures they do not pine for their owners, but instead have a holiday, just as their owners are.
We offer transport through our sister business, DP Transport to help get the doggies too and from certain meet points on the Central Coast and Sydney and our premises in Kulnura.
If you would like to see our service in action (photos and videos) please request friendship from our facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/boarding.kulnura
If you would like to experience a day with us in our facility and get a back of house experience to see if you and your dog would be happy with us, or your just keen to see what goes on, please contact us to arrange this.
We currently cater for 35 dogs a day, however, we will be expanding too 60 dogs per day at the end of ...read more

Doggy Pause is a really great place for your dog to go off and have an awesome holiday of their own while you have yours. When we dropped off our black Labrador Scotch, Wilo was very proud to show off the facilities he would be staying in for 2 weeks. Her love of dogs is really represented in the impressive and very high quality setup. Scotch loves to run and there is certainly a lot of space to do so. When we came home he was wagging his tail at 1000 kilometres an hour. He was so exhausted from all his exercise and socialising with all the other dogs that he fell asleep within minutes of leaving Doggy Pause. He had such a great time and I'm sure he'll be visiting many more times in the future. I would definitely recommend Doggy Pause to anyone whose dog needs a holiday and a really great time!
Doggy pause is fantastic place where your dog will enjoy their holiday as much as you do! They take such good care of the dogs, ensuring to dogs get on well together and have a great time. You can rest assured that someone else is looking after your fur babies and providing them with the love and care that you would. This was our first time leaving our girls and we were a little uneasy but seeing updates and photos of our girls on facebook gave us the peace of mind and reassurance that our girls were enjoying their holiday as much as we were. I wouldn't hesitate to send our girls back there next time we go away. I know Charli and J-lo can't actually tell us how much fun they had but they came back to us healthy happy and quite exhausted they are still snoozing on the patio. Doggy Pause was easy to deal with, great communcation and the premises are excellent if you are looking for a place to send your fur babies while you are away Doggy Pause is the place to go.
We thought long and hard about sending our 4 year old (sensitive but crazy) vizsla to boarding while we recently went away over the busy Christmas and January period after hearing many horror stories about kennels. Thank goodness we found Doggy Pause and Willo! While Tango hasn't told us in English about her stay; from the constant updates and photos we got during her almost 4 week stay, her great condition upon return, no cold shoulders or silent treatment upon return, and days spent sleeping once she got home, we deduce she had a fantastic time! Willo has been a pleasure to deal with from enquiry, through stay and return home and so efficient with communication! Not only a lady with a special way with dogs but a professional too. We won't hesitate to book our four legged friend in again.
We have taken our Gordon Setter to Doggy Pause many times now, and we wouldn't ever think of taking her anywhere else again. I believe there is a difference between people running a business like this for the money, and people that do it out of a genuine love for dogs - and Willo and David are definitely in it for the latter.
We have tried other places in the past, and our dog couldn't wait to get away - now we have to drag her. Although, thats normally easy as she is so tired from all the running!
I can't understand people that think locking a dog up all day, and charging for exercise, is caring for a dog. At Doggy Pause, they get the chance to run all day (supervised of course) and get to be what they want - a dog!
Thanks for looking after us in the past, and can't wait for more happy stays in 2013
We would never leave our two dogs anywhere else. they love their job (world) and it shows in our happy the dogs are. We barely get a glance back from our dogs when we drop them off. They both eat well and always come back fit, health and well exercised. We love doggy pause so much we will drive 5 hours out of our way to drop them off as we know we never have to worry. The dogs are never alone and do not spend time locked up. Sascha (our Border Collie) has a huge crush on them and thought normally frets when parted from us only has eyes for them!!!! We love it and recommend it to any dog owner .... Billie and Mark (parents of Buddy and Sascha)
