We went on a Groupon Voucher for $39 and we expected a normal sized plate of food for dinner, but instead we got tiny bowls of tasting food that left us unsatisfied. The location was disgusting as it looked like a takeaway fish and chip shop. Very disappointed.
Don Pepe agrees the location was disgusting. That is why we are relocating. In relation to food portion size and bowls this post is not fair because it neglects to mention there were many bowls, similar to a Chinese Yum Cha. No one has ever left the restaurant Hungry or wanting for more. Only two people who wanted to take home there meals and they left disappointed, because take away was not part of the dining voucher offers.
I feel that I must warn people about the terrible customer service at this restaurant. I bought a voucher through Jump on it, sister company of Living Social, booked and told them I had the voucher, but when we went in, they refused to honour the voucher, saying they didnt know where we had gotten it from, and looking at us as if we were trying to scam them. Obviously I cant comment on the food as I left with an empty stomach, a bad taste in my mouth, and mortified to have been treated like that in front of a whole restaurant of people. ...read more
Living Social issued Don Pepe with a formal list of voucher ticket holders. This person was the only attendee whose voucher number was not on that formal list.
took my family for husbands birthday. Service was first class, food well priced and we even got hungarian stuffed capsicums for free. Its a new italina restaurant and we enjoyed a some foods that I have never tried before so it was a great time and the food was first class .....going back tonight to try crocodile...hope it doesnt eat me before i eat it
Worst experience ever! Purchased a LivingSocial voucher. Firstly they didn't seem to understand what the deal was, my first choice of pizza was not available and we were talked out of trying one of their signature European dishes. The pasta and pizza dishes came out in no particular order which actually meant that my partners complete meal was finished before even half of mine was served. My plates were taken away before the meal was finished. When my pizza finally arrived it was the wrong one! I had ordered a vegetarian and a pizza with 2 different types of meat was placed in front of me. We sent it back and were told that we would have to wait another 20mins for it to come to us as it was at the back of the queue. After being at the restaurant for one hour 15minutes we still hadn't received the pizza or the European dish we had ordered so asked if we could take it away. We were told that we could not! The conditions on the LivingSocial voucher did state (in ...read more
Don Pepe agrees unreservedly with Revu4, that he did not obtain good service on this night. We hope an opportunity presents to rectify our failings when Rev4U makes contact. On this occasion the XLT Conveyor Pizza oven shut down without warning. All pizzas underway were lost. It took 15 minutes to reboot the XLT, claimed to be the worlds best by its distributor and salesman. The pizza oven failure caused complete chaos, mayhem and panic as we confused the orders when we remade them on the backup oven. The XLT manufacturer and distributor claim to offer exemplary after sales service, but none of it has ever been delivered to Don Pepe. On this night, Don Pepe and staff â??lost the plotâ?? in their panic but we were unable to manage the harm sufficiently. Perhaps one day our Upton Street Bundall based commercial kitchen equipment supplier will take the effort to understand the effect of their failure to deliver after sales service but Don Pepe wont hold ...read more
