WORST COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE!! Been trying to arrange a fence for the past 2 months with them and still no quote! They keep telling me that something is happening but then they don't call back or respond to any emails. When they do pickup the phone it's always "oh someone is out there today. I'll provide an update by tomorrow" Wasted my time dealing with these people. They did one part of my fence that my neighour managed to arrange (g0d knows how) and it was pretty average. Fence looks like a staircase. Not appealing at all.
Sure you can go ahead and contact them but don't count on anything been delivered. After 2 months of scr#wing me around I've given up on using Don's Fencing and will source another fencer.
In terms of the quality of the fence they delivered, I would say it's ok. However, dealing with them was an awful experience. Firstly, they overcharged my fencing payment (through their mistake), and then they would tell me they would send out a cheque, but I have been calling them for months on end and I still haven't received my cheque. The staff who answers the phone is rude and dismissive. Keeps telling me they're busy and will call me back, but never does.
Do yourself a favour, don't waste your time with this company.
I would start by confirming the responses below - the fences dont meet our expectations or requirements. We agreed to pay on completion of the work and as we do not believe the job is complete , we delayed paying the invoice until the contract was complete. They engaged a debt colection agency to pursue the debt. They currently hold further deposits and when we requested that they finish the work that remains outstanding we are informed that they are ont to it. They have been on to it for a long time. I could not in all honesty recommend this contractor to anyone.
Would start by saying pay a little extra and get better service and quality!!!! I would NOT reccomend Dons Fencing to anyone as the service was worse then terrible. It took 4 months for them to complete one fence and had no sence of urgency when we moved in and had no fence up when it was due to be done a week before we moved in. There was no communication between us and them and had to have them come out several time to complete the job. They would NOT return calls and always had excuses as to why things were not being done. The fence was unstable and had to get them to come back again to fix as well. Also they reported us to Debt collector without any warning or notification.
Couldn't agree more! They are not even cheap! They reported us to Debt Collector too even after we informed them as soon as we found out their terrible job, with request that they come back to fix it before we will pay. Poor service, poor attention, poor communication, poor quality, if I could, I would not even give any star rating! They don't even deserve half star rating!
Oh btw, we were sort of threaten when we wanted to bring the matter to the govt body. We were told to take the $100 discount as bringing the matter to other party will only bring more cost to US as they did not break any law, hence, it will be our lost to pursue it . . . and we still have to pay first even if we bring the matter to third party . . .
If only there is a way to bring this to justice, shut them down or something to stop them from taking advantage of people!!
