Donut King
On a busy Sunday mid afternoon, we were down by the food court looking for something eat. My husband decided to venture off on his own as the food court gave us variety and not everyone in the family wanted to eat the same cuisine or food from the one outlet. He felt like something quick but not from one of the fast food chain stores so he opted for a hotdog and shake from Donut King. Something quite simple and easy to prepare. I noticed by the time he had got back with his order, it would have been equal to ordering a special dish from one of the other food outlets. There are 2 donut kings located at highpoint shopping centre. One in each food court and both at any time especially lunch time is extremely busy. Their most popular lunch time orders are the hot dogs and shakes, in fact that probably sells more than their actual donuts. On this occasion, i only ordered a shake to share with my son. For me vanilla i find the best flavour for a shake. There was a bit of a wait but as expected it was their busy lunch time rush. It was a tad too sweet but that was ok. As long as it didn't taste like syrup and i could taste actual ice cream then it was all good. I only wish it was slightly thicker as it was a hot day so the shake got really runny. Their donuts as mention don't seem to be as popular, as i alway see then bundled up in packages or overloaded in trays, maybe by the end of the day they are gone but alway looks full to me. Standard service and decent price, overall experience was ok.
