Doppelganger Hair

i am a transgender guy who’s just starting his transition. my first big haircut went poorly and i expressed this to the hair dresser at Doppelganger, i didn’t want a pixie cut and i told her honestly i was transgender & wanted a men’s haircut. She happily said she would give me just what i wanted and even explained to me what she would do to make my haircut suit my face shape and appear more masculine. No hairdresser has ever done this before for me, even if i explained in the beginning that i would like a masculine haircut. The colourist was very good too and got rid of some stubborn old red hair dye without damaging my hair. i never write reviews but this experience was too good for me not to.

It was the first time i saw a guy staring in the mirror back at me and i wanted to say thank you for that.

Best hair styles my daughter and I have had to date. Melissa and Rachael both personalised the cuts/ colour we wanted to suit our features and we both walked out very, very happy. These ladies are artists. Great atmosphere to boot. Highly recommended A+

Awesome place to go to, especially if you like alternative/underground hairstyles - they do popular styles as well though. If you feel at unease with your local hairdresser because they're bitchy and pump annoying pop music, then doppelganger is for you. If your hairdresser also tells you cant do that hairstyle because your hair is not trained to do that, then they have no idea what they're talking about. Trust me it happened to me and it was only a quiff style or whatever its called - they didnt even get me onto hairspray..... Doppelganger has taught me how to be creative with my hair and they have shown me the endless possibilities of hairstyles.

I have been lucky enough to have found Melissa a long time ago , she is by far the best hairdresser i have ever been too , My hair always makes me look like a rock chick, ie on top of the world. The salon is warm and welcoming , everyone who works there is nice , easy going and up for a chat .l look forward to my visits for great hair, great conversation , amazing music > i would definatly recommend Doppelganger to anyone
