Today I had an appointment with Doug Milne, chiropractor at Buderim Bulk Billing Surgery at 4.30pm. I arrived at 4.34pm due to busy traffic in Maroochydore. Doug was already on his way home. The receptionist called him a few minutes later and he told her he was not able to come back. This is absolutely unacceptable!
I made the appointment a week ago and I was so relieved I could come today considering my condition. To me he has a CARING FACTOR OF ZERO!
I'm sorry you feel you were mistreated, your appointment was actually at 4:20 and when we hadnt heard from you I left as you were the last patient of the day, It was 4:41 when the call was made by which time I was stuck in traffic on Nicklin way heading South. Because you had missed your earlier appointment with the Dr in the afternoon an obviously incorrect assumption was made that you were going to miss this appointment as well. Communication is very important, Had you rung and let the clinic know you were running late there would not have been an issue.
Unfortunately I can't comment on your response Doug so I do it this way. I called Buderim Bulk Billing Surgery on Monday to tell them it would be tricky for me to make it on time at 4. 30pm but that I would try. She made an appointment with the doctor at 4.20, only to have a quick look at the xray, and the appointment with you was at 4.30pm. I made that appointment with you already last Thursday. So I was only 4 minutes late for your appointment. The receptionist had to take another call first before she could call you. However, there was apparently no communication with you and the receptionist at all otherwise you would have known that I could be a few minutes late. And you were already heading home while I was only 4 minutes late..
