My mother has several problems with her eyes making them very risky to operate on. Dr Pane performed her cataract surgery and the whole process was clear, highly professional and successful. We are very relieved and grateful to Dr Pane and his team. We have been told by many people he is the best in the business and our experience backs that up. Strongly recommended.
Dr Payne is rude, condescending and not very sympathetic towards his patients especially if they bulk bill or are on a low income. I would recommend seeing another Ophthalmologist if you can seriously.
I am an optometrist who regularly refers patients of all incomes to Dr Pane. For a start, he isn't rude, and all of my clients RAVE about him - I am thinking that you were most likely very rude to him, and got all flustered when you weren't treated with respect in return. Secondly, you spelt his name incorrectly, which is very disrespectful. Thirdly, he is one of the only optometrists who offers a service to low income private patients. We need more caring specialists like Dr Pane, he is such a chamption. No wonder my clients are happy to drive an hour to see him. Next time you decide to slam this so-called 'Dr Payne' (whoever he is), I would maybe take a few minutes to self-reflect first. That is all I have to say.
Hey Andrew, I don't care if you refer your patients to Dr "Payne/Pane" or that you are an optometrist. As a long-term patient, I SHOULD be treated with respect. Clients are paying for his salary. He is not caring at all and I stand by what I say. Find someone else if you can, I know I will be.
I had an appointment with the man, and he seemed fine to me, very professional & pleasant. Not condescending at all, and he treated me as well as he could I guess.
He has no time to get to know you personally in the limited time available. And in his position he must meet thousands of people & have thousands of these short meetings with patients in a year. Anyway, I have no complaints about his demeanour.
So, what did you expect, for him to invite you over to his place for dinner of something?
