Dr Brenton Seidl
Dr Brenton Seidl is a Medical Oncologist with fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Brenton graduated with Bachelor of Science with a focus on pharmacology in 2008 and completed medical school at the University of Queensland in 2012. He completed physician training at Mater Hospital Brisbane, and subsequently worked as an Advanced Trainee in Medical Oncology across several major hospitals throughout Queensland.
In 2020, Brenton returned to Mater Cancer Care Centre to take the position of Oncology Research Fellow, a role which further contributed to his interest in clinical trials and oncology research. In addition to being a co-investigator for numerous clinical trials across multiple cancer types, Brenton was involved in, and coordinated his own investigator-initiated research in breast cancer.
Throughout medical school and his career, Brenton has taken a strong interest in patient advocacy and education. He volunteered with the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, in which he founded the Queensland branch.
Brenton continues to maintain a focus on patient-centred care, education, and advocacy, which he takes with him to day-to-day clinical practice. He strongly believes that open, honest, and compassionate communication with patients and their families is essential to patient well-being and is committed to finding the best options and solutions for each patient he works with.
Brenton has experience in managing all solid organ malignancies, with a special interest in:
- Breast Cancer.
- Genitourinary Cancers.
- Melanoma.
- Lung Cancer.
