Today on arrival at the surgery I was told the online payement machine was broken and I would have to walk to a bank and withdraw the $230 and pay for my skin check-up with cash. Ther was no apology and when I suggested that I should be able to make a manual payement on credit card, or as they had all my patient details (there was no way I wouldn't pay at some point) was told they could reschedule my appointement to another day. I'd just driven half an hour to get there and taken time off work, so I reluctanty and very unhappily walked the ten minutes to get some cash. I wondered what would have happened if I'd been in a wheel chair? On my return the machine was working but rather than again apologise they said nothing, allowing e to just watch someone else pay online. Again at the end of the consultation which was good(Dr Ho was great but unfortunately for him I won't be going back) They failed to say sorry, or offer for me to pay on credit ...read more
We recently moved to the St. George area and have had a nightmare search for a new family doctor. I decided to try Dr. Bennett as the only negative reviews I could find was about her not bulk billing. Her practice is clean & modern with really nice and knowledgeable receptionists.I was able to get an appointment for the following day & she was actually on time for the appointment & I didn't have to wait. She is very professional and knowledgeable and I felt at ease whilst she completed a check of my 7 week old baby and administered her immunisations. She currently charges $71 per consult, but I think this is money well spent considering how many terrible doctors we saw prior to finding her.
Disappointed with them. Went to see them to get a vaccine for my 14 months old baby as we are going to south east asia country, and i have been advice from them if there were nothing to give. This is fine for me if they don't normally do vaqta vaccine (hep a) which you have to prescribe and buy it from chemist. The fact that we went there to get a no answer and i have to pay $70 for nothing makes me really angry. To make it worse, i called them up later today to let them know if there's vaqta vaccine available and if i grab a prescription from them and take my baby for a shot, do i need still need to pay to see them (which im hoping i wouldnt need to because i had pay earlier today for ZERO consultation). And guess what, YES indeed i need to pay to see them again. I am utterly shock for the answer. Never will and never again i am going to go back to them. They might be good for a few of you!
I have known Dr Bennett for most of my life as she has been our family doctor almost as far back as I can remember. She is professional, sophisticated and knows what she is talking about. I definitely recommend her but as others have noted she does not bulk bill. So be aware if that is an issue. But I am happy to trade cost for time as I rarely have to wait long to see her.
