I have been seeing Jane for 8 years now and she is a brilliant endocrinologist. She is highly intelligent and she has empathy for the reality of diabetes treatmnent. Jane is not going to judge or condacend you and will instead work with you to get the best results for your best diabetes management. I cannot recommend her enough for the knowledge and insights into areas of diabetes management that I was not aware of. She got me onto a memory pen when I was strugling to remmenber if I had done an injection and this was a life changer. No other edno or hospital had come up with this option. She recommended i try a CGM and I was slow to try it out and i am so glad I have.
Although this Dr is an expert in her field i found as a former patient she is extremely busy, often in a rush so you don`t feel she takes the time to listen to you which is very important , having a good level of communication is always helpful & is a two way street often it feels like your issues are being ignored , I had personal problems which i was dealing with which affected my health & i did not feel as though they had been taken into account & the overall picture of the patient i feel is very important, in conclusion this is just my opinion of my personal experience with this Dr.
Sadly I have found this trait to be common amongst most doctors and specialists. Often some who appear excellent on the initial visit, lapse into not caring on subsequent visits. I have found Jane to be very very good... and, on some other visits, not so good. being a largely self managing diabetic, I have seen many Endocrinologists, and despite some lapses, I still consider Jane among the best.
