This morning I called to get a general idea of the dates in which Dr Irving was available to extract all my wisdom teeth. I was referred to see two different surgeons; one which was booked out until the end of January and the other which was Dr Irving - which seemed to be available as soon as next month.
During my call, the receptionist was very rude, unprofessional and not helpful one bit! The way she answered the phone was poor, and I felt as if she wanted to get off the phone more than she wanted to help me. The way she explained things made me more confused and her attitude of talking down to a potential customer was appalling. Her call made me genuinely uninterested to see Dr Irving. Which is a shame, as I'm sure he is a great surgeon. The receptionist that I spoke to this morning at this dental surgery is really rude, and unprofessional. I called there to simply find out a bit more about the process involved in having a tooth surgically removed, as it's a big process for me, I need to travel, arrange help if I need it, arrange the appointment so I know how far away it is and also find out about possible costs etc, however the person answering the phones was outrageously aggressive, wouldn't listen, told me I needed to go back to my GP (?) to find out about the process and generally had no respect for a potential patient. With a process like this, I really need to feel ok with the people who re doing it, and she certainly has made me not want to use Dr Irvings services! So not sure if he's a good dental surgeon or not, but his office staff sure make a BAD impression. I think I'll go elsewhere.
