Dr Nick Kontorinis

Dr Kontorinis graduated from UWA and completed his medical and gastroenterological training in Perth. He then did fellowships at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York in the fields of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation from 2002 to 2005.

Areas of interest and expertise include:
o general gastroenterology
o gastroscopy and colonoscopy (colorectal cancer screening)
o liver disease with a focus on viral hepatitis and liver transplantation.
inflammatory bowel diseases

He has been back as a consultant at the Royal Perth, Swan Districts and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the WA Liver Transplantation Service. He was Head of Department and Director of Physician Education at RPH.

He also does private work as part of East Metro Private Endoscopy at Swan Districts Hospital and Westminster Day Surgery along with Dr Glen Brand. He is a visiting Specialist at Northam Regional Hospital.
