About the band:

Can perform as a duo or trio

Based on the Gold Coast/Brisbane, Dr. Rockzo operate as a duo and a trio depending on the occasion and venue. As a duo we have Simon (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, wooden stomp) and Davitt (lead guitar, backing vocals) creating a full sound to get people grooving.

As a trio we have guitar, bass, drums, and 2 vocals with rich harmonies. Brilliant party band! Performing classic rock hits from the 60's to current, always receiving top reviews for each show. Recently supported Mental as Anything.

Each member of the group has a highly professional attitude and is able to each sing lead vocals creating rich harmonies. They do not limit themselves to one particular music style so as to cater to any kind of audience. Dr. Rockzo cover band has preformed many weddings and private parties throughout the last two years and are only happy to do more!

Individual bios:

Simon: 25 (bass, lead vocals) has played in both original and covers bands for nearly 10 years. Recently he has returned from a contract on Royal Caribbean Cruise lines performing as a lead singer/bass player and acoustic soloist. He has played in various countries including the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, and throughout the Caribbean. He also performs as a soloist 3-5 nights per week.

Davitt: 21 (guitar, backing vocals) hails from Dublin, Ireland. He is exceptionally skilled on guitar and plays way beyond his years. His vocal harmonies are outstanding. Has gigged all around Ireland and Queensland. Main influences include Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Mark Knopfler.

Jaime: 28 (drums, backing vocals) has relocated from Cairns and has played in show bands both locally and internationally for almost 10 years. He is brilliant at customising his drum style for each venue to comply with noise restrictions, but loves to show enthusiasm for a rowdy pub crowd. ...read more
