Dr Ross MacIntyre is an experienced eye doctor and surgeon, who specialises in cataract surgery, corneal surgery, and laser vision correction.

Dr MacIntyre provides an individualised approach to your eye care needs. He works closely with your eye doctors and medical doctors to ensure you get the best possible care and best outcome.

Cataract surgery is the most common procedure performed by Dr MacIntyre. Modern cataract surgery can be performed by the conventional operation (high powered ultrasound) or by the femtosecond laser assisted cataract procedure.

Dr MacIntyre also treats keratoconus patients and is experienced with collagen corneal cross-linking to treat progressive ectasias.

Dr MacIntyre specialises in the treatment of inflammatory and infectious disease of the cornea and conjunctiva as well as inherited corneal dystrophies, including Fuchs', granular, lattice, and macular. He is proficient with all corneal surgery techniques, including penetrating keratoplasty (PK), Descemet's stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK), Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), anterior lamellar keratoplasty (ALK), and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK).

Dr MacIntyre is an experienced refractive surgeon, having completed a corneal, cataract, and refractive surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA. He will discuss the pros and cons of all suitable options for vision correction, including LASIK, PRK, phakic intraocular lenses (IOLs), and refractive lens exchange.
