Dr Susan Kennedy is a senior clinical psychologist specialising in evidence-based treatment of anxiety (excessive worry, fear, & shyness) and related concerns (e.g.problems with stress, depression, sleep, social skills, self-esteem & adjustment) in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr Kennedy has over 20 years experience in various mental health settings including 6 years as the director of the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Clinic in the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Area Health Service, and as a clinician and researcher in the Centre for Emotional Health (Anxiety Research Unit) at Macquarie University working with adults and young people.
Dr Kennedy has supervised trainee psychologists and psychiatrists and conducted numerous workshops on the treatment of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents for both mental health and education professionals. Her research into anxiety prevention and treatment has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.
