Dragonboat Chinese Restaurant must have one of the best locations around. Situated on the second level of the Harbourside Shopping Centre, if you get one of the prized seats on the balcony, you can enjoy the panoramic views of Darling Harbour, the Sydney Skyline as well as fireworks on weekends. At the moment you also benefit from the Vivid lights.
Classed as fine Chinese/Asian fusion, their menu is extremely extensive and surprisingly not expensive considering its location. Their menu boats traditional Chinese items, as well as specialising in seafood.
Spring rolls, prawn crackers or Dim Sim are on offer for the entrée, but we ordered our favourite – Sang Choy Bao, which was super tasty and our waiter ...read more

This restaurant overlooks the harbour. If you get an outdoor seat, the view of the evening fireworks would be great.
The food however has much to be desired. I eat a lot of Chinese food, and many different styles and regions. But the food here is very bland, and way overpriced.
Better to go and find a small restaurant in Chinatown for better food at half the price.

So, for the positives: the location, the name (Dragon Boat, yeah!!), presentation (top notch, snazzy, lotsa yummy sauce), the views (ahhhh Sydney with thou'st glowing lights and harbour scenery) and the Peking Duuuuucccckkkkk.

Yep, you got it. I'm a fan of good quality Peking Duck and Dragon Boat has done pretty well with crispy skin duck, elegant scallops sprinkled with shallots, chilli and generous garlic sauce. Am I making you feel hungry yet because I sure am feeling it.

The reason it doesn't get top marks is a few minuses, in my opinion: the prices are steeper than I personally like, and whilst some dishes are dazzling, others don't fully hit the mark.

My opinion: Go in the mood if you want a spiffy ambience with nice Darling Harbour views and crispy duck Chinese dishes.

The restaurant looked really great as well as the lovely view. The food was also not bad.

I came to this restaurant on Saturday night as it looked very well presented. It is a great locaion for a restaurant looking out the harbour. However the food was very very below par ( and i go to a lot of chinese restaurants)

we ordered a mixed entree and when it came out some were slightly warm but some i.e the spring rolls were cold and the funny thing was that they ...read more
