This place used to be our go to place for yum cha and dinner but it has recently dropped its game. Their food aint as good as it once were and their portion have gone significantly smaller. I dont know what is going on with them. Their prices are also not as good as they once were. They have lost me as their long term loyal customer.
A bit disappointing that Dragon Boat, which once was our family favourite has gone down hill. I had dined here after a couple of years. The service was average but not very attentive and had to be located when we needed extra plates and sauce.
The food was average but lack presentation appeal. It was also overpriced for the portion size where we had to order multiple dishes in order to be full. Hopefully this place could pick up their game and provide customers better prices food in the future.
I found Dragon Boat has gone down and not kept up over the years. My lunch experience here was average and the food was over priced for the quality of food. Service isnt too bad and were attentive (seeming as there were only 2 other tables when we were there). There was your usual selection of dumplings - ha gao (prawn dumplings) and siu mai. My ha gao was a tad over done.
Strangely they have their bathrooms on the upper floor which was annoying and the steep stair case didn't help either. Wouldn't really think twice about going back however might give their yum cha menu a go to give them another chance. Didn't take any photos as presentation of their food wasn't their strong suit.
The all you can eat yum cha is good value for money. Of course it isn't the greatest food, considering it's all you can eat - but for what you're paying I think it's fair. Although the quality of food wasn't consistent, some dishes tasted fresh while others tasted like the they have just been reheated in the microwave, or fresh from frozen. Staff are friendly and ambience is mediocre. Wouldn't go back, and only recommended if you are not expecting the highest quality food - but value for money.
