To a large degree young drivers are taught how to pass the test rather than how to drive. At Driveability Australia we offer unique on-road defensive driving courses tailored for not only newly licensed drivers but everyone. Around 1500 people die on the roads each year in Australia- that's over 4 a day! For each death there are 10 serious injuries and young adults are grossly overrepresented. Driving is the one activity undertaken on a daily basis with the potential to kill. Road deaths aren't inevitable and Driveability Australia can equip you and your family with information they don't teach you in driving school when attempting to obtain a licence. Driveability Australia aims not only to enhance your safety, but improve your awareness, attitude and driving ability. We engage our clients through the delivery of powerful and crucial information aimed at making driving, easier, less stressful, more fun and more economical.

On-Road Defensive Driving Courses combine both theoretical and practical driving. All driving takes place in real traffic in your own vehicle. Courses are normally of a 3-4 hour duration and are delivered by an accredited driver trainer and safe driving expert.

The course does not aim to deliver high level vehicle control skills, instead focusing on driver attitude and safety. The course helps drivers know what to do, how to focus, manage their safety more effectively and most importantly how to sustain positive changes for the rest of their driving lives.
