Driving School Getaway (DSG) is unique in Australia and is only the World's second provider of learn to drive holidays.

DSG is a new initiative of Charles, Proprietor of Lismore's Professional Driving Consultancy (PDC) since 1993.


Who is Charles? What is PDC?

Charles has helped broaden and deepen the driving skills of more than 3000 clients in and around Lismore, Ballina, Casino and Grafton since 1987.

PDC helps dimensionalise and assess clients' driving skills through use of its copyrighted 4 page 'Dynamic Defensive Driving' WorkSheet.

Charles has been approved since 2011 by the NSW RMS as one of its few Older Driver Assessors. He is also a Platinum provider of FREE (Commonwealth Government provided) Keys2Drive sessions.

Charles' qualifications include a B A (Melb.) in Psychosociology (the best University qualification for a driving instructor).

He also holds two up-to-date TAFE Certificate IV qualifications: Transport and Logistics (Car Driving Instruction) and Training and Education (the only TAFE teaching qualification).

Charles was a professional full-time relief taxi driver in Melbourne (1976-78), Canberra (1985) and Lismore (1997-2012).

As a motorcyclist Charles also survived two Melbourne winters without falling off!

PDC has been a long-standing Member of the NSW (and so the Australian) Driver Trainers Association. Charles has held a Working with Children Certificate since its inception.
