I'm a drum kit teacher living in Melbourne, with over 10 years experience. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, my lessons are focused on helping you achieve your individual goals.

Lessons cover essential elements of playing drum kit and music including:

Relaxed hand technique
Developing a strong time feel and rhythmic pulse
Playing solos and fills around the drum kit
Learning songs and playing along with recordings
Reading notated music
Developing aural skills, being able to learn songs by ear.


Students have the option of enrolling of AMEB CPM (Contemporary Popular Music) drum exams. The AMEB CPM syllabus helps drummers adapt to a range of music including rock, blues, jazz, funk, while also teaching students essential drumming techniques and theory. Maria can also help with preparations for auditions and VCE performances.
