VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!
Thank you Drummoyne Auto Care for a great job!
I don't often write reviews but after receiving great service from the boys at Drummoyne Auto Care, I thought it only fair!
I brought my Audi in to Robert last week for a service and also to look at some noises my car seemed to be making. Im happy to say that I've finally found a mechanic who not only provided great friendly service but was able to finally diagnose and get rid of those noises.
As a bonus- it also ended up being a whole lot cheaper than going to the dealer!
I will highly recommend Drummoyne Auto Care to all my friends and family and to all that read this review!
In a long story cut short (as possible), I booked my 2006 Nissan Navara in for its 140,000klm service through online.
In order to clarify a few things I decided to call Drummoyne Auto Care. They were very quick to book my ute in directly even though they knew I was booking through the above company. I made the mistake of purchasing a Groupon for a major car service. Management was charging me a total of $475 extra for:
- synthetic oil ($75, even though normal oil was included in the voucher this was not offset against the cost of the synthetic oil)
- drain and top up brake fluid ($50)
- drain and top up coolant ($60)
- drain and top up anti-freeze ($60, which is essentially the same as the coolant)
- wiper blades ($50)
- replace engine belt ($90)
- replace a few broken brake light globes ($30)
- labour ($60)
Told them to go ahead with the synthetic oil but we would go elsewhere to get the rest done and they weren't happy. We dropped off the car before 8:30am and I had to ring them at 4pm to find out if my car was ready yet. When my partner arrived to pick up my car, they've been rude. We ended up getting all of the other items done $200 cheaper at a different mechanic.
An update - I went back to DAC this morning to get an invoice and query them over the pricing (further to my review below). Robert was concerned about my dissatisfaction and took the time to go through my concerns, along with his pricing. The charges that I originally suspected to be incorrect actually involved labour and GST. We'll call this a miscommunication, as Robert felt he was up front (he even showed me the original work card while explaining the charges to me - everything was there), but I felt this wasn't communicated well in our phone call - I was expecting a bill of approximately $270. I will leave it to the reader to determine what is fair and what is ...read more
