Duck Duck Goose

This is on Piper Street. Needed to get some hot morning beverages as it was cold and freezing. A long line had already started to form due to the crowds on the long weekend. The service here is friendly but frantic due to the sheer number of people wanting to get a table. The server will take your order and advise your table number. Make payment at the counter once your have finished.

We just had a Mocha and Duck Duck Goose Wet Chai. The drinks were nice and warmed us right up. Food looked really good but as we were in a rush unfortunately didn't get to try.

A busy rustic cafe and grocery. Good friendly service. Gluten free bread available so most of the menu items can be made gluten free. There are choices of gluten free sweets and display food. Food are quite pricey but nice. Waiting time was long when we were there on Labour Day. Groceries, homeware and gift shop has a good choices of healthy and eco produce and items.

I have been a regular at DDG for the last year and have had many good experiences, but when I last visited there I was in for a shock. The staff bar one younger waitress were so rude and unaccommodating. They also stuffed up one of our orders for someone who is gluten intolerant. It doesn't take much to be nice these days even if it is busy in your cafe.
