I googled for some good american burger places close by to home, and Dude Food Man was the closest one that came up. Traditional looking American diner located in Essendon. Still a bit of a drive but worth a try. Wasnt as busy as we were pretty early for dinner. They had only a few selections of burgers but i guess thats what makes it unique as to what they sell to be known for. I had a burger with camerlised bacon, very different, tasted very sweet. I thought it was an unusual taste to have sweet bacon in the buger but it was good to try. The burgers were hard to eat, got a bit messy and was dripping, but i guess if a burger is that big it will always be hard to eat. My son enojyed the hand cut chips. Overall experience i would say it was average. Not sure i'll be back anytime soon but i must say i have had nice and tastier burgers else where closer to home. But good to know i guess.
