Fabulous suburban pub with a great menu that ventures beyond pub classics done well, to include some interesting and creative options that are also very tasty. Go on a weekend for an impressive Sunday roast, or use some restraint and settle with a tasty burger or curry. Large range of good wines and craft beers available, and friendly staff. Understandably popular with local residents.
Boy has this place changed over the years! The days of a boozers pool hall are over, with the pub now refurbished and with a quality restaurant. I now see this place as more of a restaurant than pub, so although not a choice location for a drinking session, its definitely a great option if you're looking for a meal with friends. Pretty kid friendly too.
Went back a couple of weeks ago. Food was OK, but one upside was still very kid friendly. Will be back
I quite liked this place, and while it's not one of the easiest pubs to get to, the ferry wharf at the end of the road makes it a little easier than some places. Basically it is a craft beer bar with a restaurant out the back. When I came here it was pretty quiet, but that was probably because it was in the afternoon on a weekday when most of the people are probably at work. However the place had quite a nice charm about it, and the beer garden out the back was also really nice. The other thing that stuck out was that they didn't seem to have a VIP Lounge, which I also thought was really cool because unlike Melbourne, most of the pubs in Sydney seem to have them tacked onto the premises. Mind you, part of the beer garden is a smoking area, but that happens to be right out the back so there is still a section where you can enjoy a meal outside.
