Mobile Phones Retailers
Easytone Communications - Melbourne

Theyre opened daily, based on Russell Street Melbourne, Easytone Communications is a retailer of mobile phones and accessories, they stock numerous overseas calling cards and prepaid calling cards options based on personal needs. I believe theyre a dealer through Telstra. Seems like these guys may be a franchised, as Ive seen a number of them based out in the CBD location in Melbourne alone. On 06 Aug 2011, I have purchased a basic Nokia handset (1800) at EASYTONE 274 Swanston St, Melbourne. I quickly realised I could not use the device as the keyboard is simply too small for my fingers. I therefore returned the hand set in its original packaging, screen still protected by the peeleable protection to the shop on the following day.
I was very surprised to be refused any refund or credit voucher!
This is not only sloppy customer care, but furthermore it blatantly conflicts with the 2011 Competition Consumer Act that states:
Consumers now have an explicit right to return products for a full refund if there is a major failure to comply with a consumer guarantee.
It advisable to keep your distance from this seedy shop. Thanks for circulating to your friends.

After a bit of haggling the shop manager agreed to offer a credit note. Matter settled as far as I'm concerned. Would be good that all staff were customer minded!
