Do not open on time, hard to contact at around 9 in morning. Avoid and go elsewhere.
Are you sure you called the box hill eb store, because I have nothing but good things to say.. great service! Store manager always smiling. Great music all the time.. were you tripping out or something ?? Btw im standing in store right now.. And box hill eb by far trumps all other game stores in Melbourne...
EB at Box Hill gets crowded with people during after-school hours and it gets taken care of pretty darned quickly.
When I was pre-ordering my game, I was waiting for the store to open for 2 hours and you know what I did while I was waited? I did something else, I'm sure if the store opened 60 seconds late, I can assure you they had more pressing matters to attend to like setting up the store for customers such as yourself who after receiving a great service from them.
Thankfully, your review only ensures that the less irritable customers are now much less likely to encounter your impatient self there, so I thank you for being impatient, and I thank you for potentially never showing yourself there.
I've noticed it not opening on time aswell.
I disagree about the management being nice, management pretty rude IMO. Every time I shop there they try to pressure me into making preorders. Hassling me saying "what, you're not going to buy ANY games in the future?" with a condescending look.
None of the other EBs I've shopped at try to get me to preorder stuff.
Also when asking about products etc, not helpful and has an attitude.
The store itself is poorly arranged, they don't keep the recent titles and posters up to date, there's often no one standing at the register, staff sometimes chat with friends and 'hang out' in the store with friends instead of serving customers, I've had staff simply not know how to use the register, false advice from staff.
It's pretty poor place to shop at, but there aren't really any other game stores so that's why I still go there.
