Edgars Inn

Being conveniently located in the heat of Ainslie, ACT, my friends and I tucked into their breakfast full of lively conversation. The cafe being out in 'the open' also facilitated a lively brunch catch-up. Their 'smoked salmon rosti' looked delicious (and what I ordered), although I ended up receiving eggs benedict inadvertently. Nonetheless, the latter was delicious.

I had brunch at Edgars on the weekend - I had the big breakfast and I have to say it was pretty disappointing. My poached eggs were overcooked, the bacon was a bit rubbery and the hash browns were of the frozen, mass produced variety. My friend had eggs Benedict with a side of mushrooms, and received only a few tiny scraps of mushroom. Given she had paid $2 for this side it was a little underwhelming. I have had good meals at Edgars before, but this was a let down

A nice little pub tucked away in the inner north. There's not a lot of space inside so probably better on a sunny day when you can enjoy the large alfresco dining area.

good staff, great beer and good food. can get a little crowded inside, but good outdoor seating for warmer months.
