Chose to get kebabs here because 2-3 years ago I remembered getting some delish ones. Ordered two "lamb" kebabs, when I ordered I specifically asked if it was lamb off the spit and pointed to the spit (queried because they weren't operating, assumed they'd be re-heating and don't mind that) - got a kebab full of horrific tasting hamburger meat!!! Called them (as we'd already travelled 15 mins home) and queried what I had and was told that is lamb off the spit, mince lamb off the spit, I reiterated how terrible it was and since when ever has there been mince lamb off the spit, I've never ever heard of or seen this anywhere, and the answer I got was "oh, you wanted real lamb?" - what other sort is there!!! He kept insisting that was a proper lamb kebab, just not real lamb (???). Regardless it tasted like horrible hamburgers chopped up in the kebab. Two whole kebabs straight in the bin, will not be going back!
As I was wandering around Whittlesea one Saturday afternoon I was looking for a place to go and grab a bite to eat. It turned out that there were a number of options on the main road, however I ended up selecting this place, maybe because I simply liked the look of the building, and also seems to have the biggest range. Okay, it is a fish and chip shop, but they also do pizzas. Mind you, I wasn't looking for anything extravagant to simply went to the steak sandwhich. Well, before I know it they had made it and I was then wandering down the road munching on it. It was pretty good, and the place wasn't all that bad either. Definitely a place to grab something to eat and then go for a wander down to the local park. Oh, he also does coffee (though I didn't give it a try – I was already pretty coffeed out).
