If you're new to Mebourne, and want a classy bar, that gets a crowd. Staff that manage to keep their wits about them and entertain on quieter nights, and views onlooking chapel street from a floor up (pretty rare on chapel street unfortunately) ... this is your place. You'll get in and find you wont want to leave, unless you really can't actually get in (wear dress shoes and make an effort). A good mix of young adults to adults fill the room and add to the atmosphere. Large couches and booths line the edges of the room and a massive bar extends through its centre. Great variety of cocktails available too.
A really fun place to come with friends when you just want a chilled night of drinks and fun. Couches are very comfortable, but good luck finding a place to sit if it gets busy, people tend to park in spaces. However, the vibe is really cool and the music is both good quality and not too loud so you can't hear the person next to you.
Bar staff is also friendly and really helpful when in need of suggestions.
Another amazing spot by the legendary Peter Raff, of One Love and Mothers Milk fame. He's got the formula for another winner here, with an incredible fit out of cathedral style archways and a long marble bar, with 80's vinyl and retro photography posted to the walls. Multi levelled for privacy. Upstairs overlooking Chapel Street, with cocktails and a good looking crowd, how can you go wrong?
