Elk Accessories

Bought a large lennik bag and then when I got home discovered that the leather had a razor blade like tear on it. In fact, upon closer inspection I realised that it had been glued together to make it look less noticeable. Was very disappointed as I paid $265. When I looked on the inside tag it said "made in India" and I felt somewhat deceived as elk is always boosting that it's a melbourne based brand. It's just another example of a company compromising quality for cheap labour at the extense of the consumer. I expected more from this brand. Moreover, getting a refund for this clearly faulty product was made very difficult. You only realise what a brand is like when you have a problem and see how they deal with it. Don't be fooled by this brand. I will never buy from elk again.

The elk store has such a lovely atmosphere, I can't help but pop in there whenever I get a spare moment without the kids! The jewellery is so different to anything else around and the clothing is amazing. The shop assistants are lovely to speak with and aren't rude like so many other places these days. I haven't got a bad word to say about elk.

Elk are my favourite brand and the fact they are located just a short car ride away is amazing. The staff are always welcoming and are more than happy to help- it's just so hard to choose what to buy! SO much choice! I shop there for all my gifts (The shop assistants recognise me now!!) and recently got a gift voucher myself from my girlfriends for my birthday, I can't wait to come back in and spend up a storm!

Pretty disappointed with Elk's customer service. Went to exchange a gift today, but they flat out refused to exchange, or even let the smaller amount for the item I had count towards something I would wear. Staff was condescending and dismissive.
