I have had numerous good meals at the Ellis Beach Bar and Grill over the years, but last Sunday had the worst hamburger of my life there. The meat patty was the main problem : it was almost inedibly salty (and I am a person who generously applies salt to just about everything!). It was also really strange - a funny dark red colour, with an odd and unpleasant spongy texture. We ordered chips also, which were overcooked but by far the best part of the meal. Overall, thoroughly unpleasant. Shortly after breakfast we decided that the best way to deal with the whole experience was to think about it as little as possible.
