Eltham Ridge Medical Centre

In all my life, across multiple countries, I have never received service as bad as at Eltham Ridge. I don't know what their doctors are like because, despite having an appointment, I never got to see one.

We waited nearly an hour after my appointment time before finally giving up and leaving. What made the process more frustrating was that multiple walk-ins without appointments were seen before me (I'd estimate maybe a dozen people).

After asking the grim-faced, mono-syllabic, unhelpful receptionist multiple times when we'd be seen, she always responded that we were "next." I counted 7 more people go ahead of us before leaving.

I will never go back. If you do go, DO NOT book an appointment, just go as a walk-in, you'll have a much better chance of being seen.

For what it is it's perfect. No, it's not great for complex issues, or if you want to build a relationship with a doctor, but if you want to get in, get your meds and get out it's perfect. I went in there a few days ago for a weeping eye, waited 15 minutes to see the doc, the appointment lasted a max 3 minutes, got diagnosed, got my script, and I was out.

I was a regular customer here. Some of the doctors are good and will take the time to help you. Others only care when they are not busy. Also considering they state that they accept walk ins they turn a regular away when quite and in need of a fast appointment to get scripts refilled. Really looking for another doctor that is close rather than so far away

Have been to this place enough times to know not to go back unless my other doctors are too busy. Have had numerous incidents where we've gone elsewhere for a 2nd opinion. Some (but not all) the doctors are rude timekeepers - making sure that they don't exceed the few minutes allocated for each visit. We only go now if we need antibiotics or some other basic requirement. If you want to establish an ongoing relationship with your doctor then go to one of the non bulk bill local options in Monty or Eltham where the attention and care is a lot more personal.

Absolutely brilliant for minor ailments. Rang at 5.30pm,had an appointment at 5.50pm, Home with antibiotics from the pharmacy by 6.00pm and bulk billed.

Beats waiting an hour and paying a fortune.
