Elvis Hair Studio

After recently going through a breakup, I have been investing more time and effort into looking and feeling my best. I’ve been getting manicures, learning to contour my face, and decided to treat myself to a new haircut too. I live near Harbourside so have walked past Elvis a couple of times and it looked busy and professional with reasonable prices so I phoned up and booked myself in. Biggest.Mistake.Ever. The guy who cut my hair has singlehandedly ruined all the effort I have been putting into my appearance lately.

I went to this studio a few times to get root touch ups and was quite pleased with the lady who did the touch up for me. The last time I went though, I had another lady and she was very obviously in a rush - she even said they had overbooked her. She landed up doing a horrible job of the root touch up. She was extremely rough when washing the dye out and afterwards didn't bother cleaning up the dye around my hair line which was very obvious. I made the mistake of going ahead with a haircut since I had originally booked it - she basically chopped off a good chunk of my hair (about 2 inches more than I had asked for) and the style was NOTHING close to what I had asked for either. She didn't show me the back of it since she was in such a god almighty rush so I didn't even realise how short and terrible it was till I got home. Needless to say I am never going back.

Absolute worst hair salon I have ever been to! The owner is this arrogant little man who talks down to his staff and clients and upon leaving unhappy he told me to find somewhere else to go. The staff even complained to me about there own BOSS!! My haircut looks like my 5 year old could have done a better job and my foils made random bleach spots on my head.. and thats just from the hair they didn't fry. Worst decisions I've ever made. Do yourself a favour read the reviews before going in.. this is what I should have done, no wonder its so easy to make an appt.. That should have explained it enough.

on purchasing a voucher through groupon i was quite excited to get a new look. the day i went in i had a stylist who took 4 + hrs to complete a full head of foils, cut , treatment, toner and blow-dry. seamed to be a little long but oh well! my hair do looked great and felt amazing after the treatment . only issue was the next day when i tied my hair up, i noticed that the foils didn't go all the way to the roots! i was quite annoyed but called back up and re booked for it to be re done. the staff that i spoke to was wonderful and very apologetic. i went back in and left with a full head of foils done properly! all in all i will visit again, now knowing the stylist that innately did my foils is no longer working there !

Great hair salon located in Harbourside. The staff are really friendly and take the time to design a style with you and really listen to what you want. I am sorry for the other ladies on here that had such an awful experience as I found them to be very professional and talented hairdressers.
