This place has been here for years and is always busy and popular with locals and tourists. There are also lots of Chinese families eating here which is great. During the day you can't go past yum cha and there is a good variety of dishes on offer and all comes out steaming hot on various trolleys. The prawn dumplings and seafood dumplings are fine. As are the vegetarian dumplings. I enjoyed the sticky rice parcels with chicken more and the steamed radish cake. The tofu parcels were delicious and tasty. Mango pancakes were a huge let down with the pancake falling apart, mango not being fresh and stingy amount of cream. Service can be very abrupt depending on which waiter you get. The bill adds up quickly as most dishes are classified as extra large so at $9.20 a pop.
We were seated quite quickly, considering how hungry we all were after wondering down the Chinatown Night Market food stalls!
Since there was a group of 3 of us we shared 3 plates. One beef, one chicken and one lamb. The food wasn't anything out of this world. It was edible though and my growling stomach was happy with the result.
But then we didn't come here to be wowed by the food. We were just hungry.
Long vetran on Dixon street but the food here is average and extra oily. Had a family dinner here and the staff were not friendly but as an Asian i knew it would be like this. However i was hoping the food to be good. I was wrong! The food was soso and it was pricey as well.
not worth it!
